Description:
Junipers are evergreen, woody shrubs. Some have an upright growth habit while others having a low, spreading habit. The fruit is a small, bluish, berry-like cone. The native Eastern redcedar is a member of the juniper family. Leaves can start off awl-like, meaning they are sharp, but mature to scale-like, when they are more smooth.
